Battlestar Galactica

Battlestar Galactica (or "BSG") produced in 1978, is a franchise of American sci-fi films and television series. A civilization of humans lives on planets in a distant part of the universe. "The Twelve Colonies” have been at war with a cybernetic race known as the "Cylons." The Cylons launch a sudden sneak attack on the Colonies, laying waste to the planets and devastating their populations. Survivors flee into space aboard any spacecraft they can reach, the Battlestar Galactica appears to be the only military ship to come through the attack.
